Work begins on the €10's

The Turner Tenner

10 Euro Artnote

The featured artwork on the €10 note is a reproduction of J.M.W Turner's 'The Fighting Temeraire'. Chosen only for its beautiful sunset colours that tie in so well with the ten euro's palette, I  started work on these paintings in September 2017.

Update: June 2018 - I never realised how much work was involved in this project, consequently the €5 notes have been temporarily suspended at 35 artnotes, whilst I make a start on the €10 notes, mainly to preserve my sanity!

Please note: Although these 10 euro banknotes are genuine, they are no longer considered legal currency by the ECB because they have been intentionally changed.

Extra security features include a screen printed title and artist above the painting in scarlet red, and a screen printed 'artnote.org' in a pearlescent gold above the note's serial number that matches the colour of the band across the notes reverse.

Something is missing...

There are only 6 x ten euro banknotes that have been artistically altered into Artnotes. To authenticate your Artnote, check your €10 banknote’s serial number below. When an Artnote is released, you will be able to click its serial number to follow its own story.
