The Bridge - Claude Monet

Monet Money

5 Euro Artnote

The featured artwork on the €5 note is a reproduction of Claude Monet’s masterpiece ‘The Bridge’. I chose this painting to match the existing theme on the reverse of the banknote. The painting's idyllic setting contrast with the cold brick structures printed on the banknote. The yellow / green hues and shades of Claude Monet’s japanese bridge and garden reflect the colours used on the banknote, and makes it look like it has always been there.

Please note: Although these 5 euro banknotes are genuine, they are no longer considered legal currency by the ECB because they have been intentionally changed.

Extra security features include a screen printed title and artist above the painting in forest green and the screen printed words, 'artnote.org' in a matching pearlescent silver / green above the note's serial number.

Something is missing...

There are 35 x five euro banknotes that are being changed into Artnotes, they all carry a reproduction painting of Monet's bridge.

To authenticate your Artnote, check your €5 banknote’s serial number below. When an Artnote is released, you will be able to click its serial number to follow its unique story.
