The featured artwork on the €50 note is a reproduction of Edvard Munch's 'The Scream'. Work on the fifty euro notes was completed in January 2020
Please note: Although these 50 euro banknotes are genuine, they are no longer considered legal currency by the ECB because they have been intentionally changed.
Extra security features include a screen printed title and artist above the painting in warm red, and a screen printed 'artnote.org' in a matching pearlescent golden orange above the note's serial number.
