Ta daah! The Pink Panther! - attributed to Blake Edwards, Friz Freleng and Hawley Pratt. To preserve a little bit of suspense, I have deliberately omitted the image from the Artnote. I'll leave it to your imagination!
Although not as revered as the great masterpieces reproduced on the other note values, The Pink Panther is lodged in the hearts and minds of several generations and deserves his place on the highest value euro note.
Please note: Although these 500 euro banknotes are genuine, they are no longer considered legal currency by the ECB because they have been intentionally changed.
Extra security features include a screen printed title and attributed artists above the painting in mottled metallic magenta, and a screen printed 'artnote.org' in a pearlescent pink below the serial number.
